Fisher Pavilion, Seattle Center
Seattle, Washington
Fisher Pavilion is located in the heart of the Seattle Center Campus at the former Flag Pavilion site. The former Flag Pavilion building was removed in October 2001 to make way for the new building and landscape.
Redevelopment of the site includes a new multi-purpose indoor facility, a rooftop plaza with views of the International Fountain, nearly two acres of green space, and a September 11th Memorial Garden.
The primary design objectives for the site fulfilled a set of critical master plan objectives: the creation of a central green at the Center, visual connection of the Seattle Children’s Theater with the Theater District, the ability to accommodate seasonal events and concerts at Seattle Center, and an overall greening of the site that included a LEED silver rating. |
