At a new development for a prominent tech company in South Lake Union, Site Workshop collaborated closely with their design partners to create a plant-rich public plaza where stormwater is on display. The 13-story building peels back from the street edge to form a deep overhang that frames a generous plaza, supporting ground-level retail and offering an assortment of built-in and flexible seating areas. A playful sculpture by local artist Patti Warashina emerges from a planter that captures all of the stormwater from the roof.
