Emily van Geldern

Emily is a landscape designer who is passionate about the life cycle of urban landscapes. She appreciates the integral role that communities and culture play in shaping these dynamic landscapes and strives to translate neglected or latent sites into accessible, seminal pieces of amenity and infrastructure. Prior to joining Site Workshop, Emily received her MLA from the University of Pennsylvania and spent ten years learning from, living in, and designing for New York City’s public realm. Originally from the Connecticut coast, she enjoys exploring the diverse shorelines of the Pacific Northwest whether by boat or bicycle. 

Emily's projects include Block 38, Fremont Crossing, and the Green Lake Community Boat House.
