This LEED Platinum project performs in the top 1% of office buildings nationwide for energy efficiency and houses a number of state agencies— serving as a public but secure facility. The planting design links the site to the historic West Campus and captures stormwater in bio-filtration planters while framing a large entry "porch" and pocket garden seating areas. A suspended paving system protects root growth for a Red Oak tree preserved during construction, and new Tulip and Forest Green Oak trees planted along the streetscape.
