With generous donor support, the Museum of Flight restored the Boeing B-52G Stratofortress named 59-2584 Midnight Express and relocated the plane from Paine Field to their Tukwila campus. The iconic aircraft now forms the focal point of the new Vietnam Veterans Memorial Park located behind the Air Pavilion building. Inviting an up-close experience, a curved tribute wall surrounds the plinth where the plane now rests and includes personal plaques of remembrance for friends and family to honor loved ones. The park offers native meadow with seasonal wildflowers and provides space for small gatherings as well as larger events.
