Taj is proud to be from Portland, Oregon. After finishing his undergraduate studies in environmental science at Portland State University in 2006, he worked on a variety of sustainable stormwater management projects with the Bureau of Environmental Services as an AmeriCorp member. This work led him to the field of landscape architecture and into a project management position with Portland Parks and Recreation. After a brief period working as a footwear designer and a temporary migration to San Francisco, Taj moved back to the Northwest and completed his Master of Landscape Architecture degree at the University of Washington in 2013.
Taj has a keen interest in the field of ecology, urban systems, and urban ecological design. He pursues these interests through supporting a diverse pallet of projects at Site Workshop, and when not in the office, can often be found wandering all corners of the city and exploring the native landscapes of the Pacific Northwest.
