As one of several public benefits associated with the alley vacations for Amazon’s three-block Rufus 2.0 project, Site Workshop developed a street concept plan to improve multi-modal circulation through the Denny Triangle neighborhood. Drawing on previous studies and extensive analysis of current conditions, the concept plan proposed a cycle track along 7th Ave between Denny and Pine. The study also
addressed improvements to Westlake Avenue that would restore the historic boulevard by improving the pedestrian experience with enhanced planting, furnishings, transportation connections and public art. Emerging from the planning process with the City is the transition of a section of Lenora Street into a shared use street.
