Wright Park is one of the great parks of the Puget Sound region, and one of Tacoma's signature parks. The phased improvement project reclaimed the long view through the center of the park, increased visibility and safety, protected existing trees, and enhanced the collection as part of a district-wide arboretum. The improvements integrated the park with the surrounding community, and expanded the community's event capabilities.
