Block 56

Block 56 is located in the rapidly developing South Lake Union neighborhood and is adjacent to the offices of many tech companies. The concept of ‘Home’ is the foundation for this residential development, as it seeks to instill a sense of permanence and comfort for occupants of the rental units. This sense of home is particularly important as the anticipated residential demographic will lean towards tech workers hailing from different parts of the globe.

Common spaces include a covered front porch with hanging swings and a Level 5 amenity deck with a common garden, backyard shed, outdoor kitchen, and various gathering spaces. The rooftop terraces provide additional gathering spaces for residents along with views of South Lake Union and Downtown Seattle. Ground-level units feature a range of stoops and terraces positioned along lushly landscaped streets with generous setbacks.

Block 56 North provides smaller efficiency units with the same spirit of ‘Home’ found in the neighboring Block 56 South project.  The lobby and ground level common areas are entered by passing through a lush garden ‘side yard’ with plantings, a fire pit, and a gathering space. The Level 8 amenity deck includes an outdoor kitchen and multiple gathering spaces for residents.
