SUMMER INTERNSHIP
Are you currently enrolled in a landscape architecture program and looking for a paid internship to gain experience with a variety of projects in the public realm? If so, we are looking for you to join us for a summer at Site Workshop.
Over the course of ten weeks, you’ll actively contribute to our project work, improving your digital skills with AutoCAD, Revit, Rhino, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite to produce a range of graphic materials and design documents. You will also participate in in-house design sessions, attend project meetings, and get out to a job site or two.
This is a great chance to see what it’s like to work as part of a landscape architectural team on a wide range of projects—from some of the largest urban developments in the Pacific Northwest to small, community-based projects.
ABOUT SITE WORKSHOP
We are landscape architects who collaborate with clients, communities, architects, engineers, scientists, and artists. Our work includes parks and public open space, civic and healthcare facilities, campuses, urban commercial development, schools, multi-modal design, and intimately scaled gardens. Our services typically include open-space planning, entitlements, community engagement, site design, concept development, presentation drawings, construction documents, horticultural consulting, and construction administration. We believe that diversity makes our community stronger and we remain committed to inclusive design processes that make the built environment more welcoming for everyone, no matter who they are or where they’re from.
REQUIREMENTS
-
Currently enrolled in an accredited landscape architecture program.
-
Ability to commit to 10 weeks full-time employment, with an hourly wage of $25.
-
Basic knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit, Sketchup, Rhino, and/or Adobe Creative Suite.
-
Ability to work both independently and in groups.
HOW TO APPLY
Check us out at www.siteworkshop.net. If you’re interested in joining the team for the summer, tell us why. We hope to get a sense of who you are, what motivates you, how you work, and your long-term goals.
Please send a packaged PDF including a cover letter with a paragraph stating why you are interested in working in the field of landscape architecture, a resume, and work samples to work@siteworkshop.net. Please keep file sizes to 10 MB and 12 pages max. We ask that you don’t send links to download your materials—just send a PDF attachment.
We’ll begin reviewing applications on March 26, 2025.
Internships will be based out of our Seattle or Tacoma offices.
We look forward to hearing from you.
