Job Openings:
Entry-Level
We currently have an opening for an entry-level landscape designer, whether right out of school or with a few years of professional experience.
The minimum requirements include:
-
degree in landscape architecture
-
introductory AutoCAD competence combined with technical curiosity
-
solid knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite
-
demonstrated ability to produce high-quality illustrative plans and perspective renderings
-
a deep appreciation for design and a strong desire to grow within the profession
We’re looking for someone who can work confidently in a loosely structured work environment, actively contribute to our collaborative design process, and proactively take advantage of opportunities to develop new skills. In addition to contributing to project work, this role will support marketing pursuits, utilizing both graphic design and copywriting skills.
If you’re interested in joining the team, please send a PDF package with a brief cover letter, resume and works samples to Matthew Wood at work@siteworkshop.net. We prefer that you attach the file directly—don’t worry about the resolution by compressing the file; it will be fine. If you’ve recently sent your materials, we will be sure to include them in our review process.
Summer 2021 Intern
If you are currently enrolled in a landscape architecture program, we want you to spend the summer in our virtual workshop as our intern. We say virtual, but we are hopeful that the internship can be in person, health and government officials allowing.
Over the course of ten weeks, you’ll actively contribute to our project work, improving your digital skills with AutoCAD, Revit, Rhino and SketchUp to produce a range of graphic materials and design documents. You will also participate in in-house design sessions, attend project meetings and get out to a job site or two. And you will help us do research and frame up an LAF CSI application for future submittal.
This is a great chance to see what it’s like to work as part of a landscape architectural team on a wide range of projects—from some of the largest urban developments in the Pacific Northwest, to small, community-based projects.
If you’re interested in joining the team for the summer, tell us why. We hope to get a sense of who you are, what motivates you, how you work and what your long-term goals are.
Please send a cover letter, resume, and work samples to
work@siteworkshop.net.
Please send a reasonably sized PDF file for review.
We’ll begin reviewing applications on April 1, 2021, but apply no later than April 15.
