Freeway Park is a cultural landmark, and one of Lawrence Halprin's greatest works. The Freeway Park Association contracted with Site Workshop to develop innovative outreach strategies to engage the public and generate ideas for park programming, design, and wayfinding. Through temporary interventions with chalk paint, survey boxes, a community chalk board, as well as several community events in the park, Site Workshop has gained valuable insight into public perception and needs for the park in its contemporary context.
