Site Workshop collaborated with Metro Parks Tacoma to revitalize Owen Beach, one of the region’s most visited and pristine beaches. A major destination within Point Defiance, Owen Beach is treasured as a place for beach-combing, family picnics, and tribal events. Through a broad framework of equity, ecology, and cultural sensitivity, the design team preserved the essence of the place—the beach—while upgrading the site and infrastructure to serve future generations of Tacoma residents.
