The garden and courtyard for the St. Clare Hospital create a restorative setting for the dining terrace, and a contemplative addition to the chapel. The naturalistic planting scheme creates seasonal interests, and pleasing combinations of textures, colors, and scents. Groves of columnar Swedish aspen flank the courtyard, gently screening adjacent patient rooms.
