Trenza at Galisteo Basin Preserve

Size: 12,000 acres
Client: Commonwealth Conservancy
Partners: Urban Green, Civitas (Vancouver, BC)
Award: 2008 ASLA WA Chapter Honor Award for Planning and Analysis

To underwrite the conservation and stewardship goals of the project, which protects 12,000 acres in the Galisteo Basin south of Santa Fe, a 965-unit mixed-use village is proposed for development within a carefully-sited 300-acre corner of the Preserve. The village celebrates long-established planning principles of traditional New Mexico towns and villages.
